Synopsis:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0In the beginning of this year, Chinese President Xi Jinping instructed his armed forces to be \u201ccombat-ready to act at any second\u201d. However, in reality Chinese forces are facing too many inside challenges.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why China is becoming aggressive?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Policies of new US President Joe Biden\u00a0<\/span>favours<\/span>\u00a0freedom of navigation operations\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in the South China Sea and Taiwan straits. By this aggression, China wants to show its confidence and military preparedness in respon<\/span>se<\/span>\u00a0to new U.S. policies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0China is preparing for possible military conflicts due to\u00a0<\/span>its aggression in South China Sea, Taiwan and Ladakh.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thirdly,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0after a\u00a0<\/span>series of setbacks in Ladakh<\/span><\/b>, China\u2019s Western Theatre Command (WTC) has\u00a0<\/span>realised<\/span>\u00a0that it is still not well prepared. It suffered a high number of casualties in the June 15\u00a0<\/span>Galwan<\/span>\u00a0valley clash. Moreover,\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>he Indian Army also captured the strategic mountainous heights at\u00a0Rezang\u00a0La and other passes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reasons for poor performance of Western Theatre Command (WTC) in Ladakh\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As mentioned above, Chinese WTC forces were outperformed by Indian troops in Ladakh. It brought many weaknesses of WTC in light, i.e.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
