Chandrayaan-2, India\u2019s second\nMoon mission, will be launched on July 15, 2019<\/li><li>Chandrayaan 2 will comprise of an Orbiter,\nLander named \u2018Vikram\u2019 and Rover named \u2018Pragyan\u2019. The orbiter will circle the\nmoon and provide information about its surface<\/li><li>The lander will make a soft landing near the\nlunar South Pole &#8211; Aitken basin -and send out the rover. The rover will be used\nmostly for in situ experiments. Only Russia, USA and China have soft landed on\nmoon so far.<\/li><li>Chandrayaan-2 will launch aboard a\nGeosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III, (GSLV -MK III) rocket.<\/li><li>Chandrayaan-2 is a follow-up mission from the\nChandrayaan-1 mission- India\u2019s first lunar mission. It was launched in October\n2008 and operated till August 2009.
