It is one of the five river basins in Afghanistan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The dam will provide drinking, irrigation, and Environmental water for Kabul province.<\/li>\n<li>It will also provide water for irrigation to nearby areas, rehabilitate the existing irrigation and drainage network.
