It also suggests ways to reduce Carbon Footprint.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Carbon footprint<\/strong> is the amount of greenhouse gas (especially carbon dioxide) released into the atmosphere by particular human activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The application can be downloaded through a QR code in Android-supported smart cell phones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How does the app work? <\/strong>When a person downloads the application, they will need to fill details in 4 parts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Water category: <\/strong>The person requires providing data about the consumption of water.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Energy category:<\/strong> The person needs to enter the details regarding the electricity units consumed every month at the house.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Waste category: <\/strong>The individual needs to inform about the waste generated by her\/him and family.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transport Category:<\/strong> The individual will provide data about the mode of transport used i.e. &#8211; four-wheeler, two-wheeler, or bicycle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Solutions provided by the Carbon Watch App:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The mobile application will automatically calculate the carbon footprint of the individual and suggest ways to reduce it.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For instance<\/strong>, if a user says they usually travel in a car, the app would suggest taking public transport or a bicycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It will also provide information such as the national and world average of the emission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/explained\/what-is-carbon-watch-indias-1st-app-to-assess-ones-carbon-footprint-7198710\/\"><strong>Indian Express<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the news?
