{"id":84948,"date":"2020-03-02T15:42:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T10:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=14025"},"modified":"2020-03-02T15:42:12","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T10:12:12","slug":"ekam-fest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ekam-fest\/","title":{"rendered":"EKAM Fest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Union Minister of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment has inaugurated the week long Exhibition-cum-Fair \u201cEKAM Fest\u201d in New Delhi.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About EKAM Fest:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The word Ekam stands for Entrepreneurship, Knowledge, Awareness, Marketing.It also represents inclusiveness, oneness and unity.<\/li><li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>To a) promote entrepreneurship and knowledge among the Divyangjan\/Persons with disabilities(PwDs) community b) generate awareness among society about potentialities of PwDs and c) provide a major marketing opportunity to PwDs entrepreneurs.<\/li><li>It is being organised by National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC) under the Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Initiatives of NHFDC at the fest:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>NHFDC Swavalamban Kendra (NSK):<\/strong>It will be a PwD owned micro skill training Centers for skill training of PwDs.These NSKs will have a capacity to provide quality skill training to around 120 PwDs per year.<\/li><li><strong>Safe Cabs: <\/strong>It is a PwD owned commercial vehicle which will be driven by the Women drivers to provide safe taxi option for the women, children and senior citizen commuters.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About NHFDC:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC) is an Apex corporation under the aegis of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities(Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment.<\/li><li>It was established in 1997 as a not for profit company under Companies act,1956.<\/li><li>It provides financial assistance to the Persons with Disabilities for their economic rehabilitation and provides a number of skill development programmes to empower them to grow &amp; sustain their enterprises.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Union Minister of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment has inaugurated the week long Exhibition-cum-Fair \u201cEKAM Fest\u201d in New Delhi.
