It has a diameter of nearly 71 km. The\nKorolev crater is a 437 km crater which has several small craters of varying\nsizes.<\/li><li>Sommerfeld crater is located on the far side of\nthe moon with a diameter of nearly 169 km. relatively It has a flat interior\nsurrounded by a ring mountain and a number of smaller craters along the edge. It\nis named after Arnold Sommerfeld, a German physicist.<\/li><li>North east of Sommerfeld crater lies the\nKirkwood crater named after American astronomer Daniel Kirkwood. It is 68kms n\ndiameter. <\/li><li>Mitra crater has a diameter of 92 km. It is named\nafter Indian physicist Sisir Kumar Mitra who is known for his pioneering work\nin the field of ionosphere and radiophysics. &nbsp;The crater is located at the western outer rim\nof another crater called Mach.<\/li><li>Hermite crater was discovered by NASA in 2009\nand is believed to be the coldest place in the solar system, with temperatures\ntouching -247 \u00b0C.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian National Space Organization (ISRO) has released a series of images of craters captured by Chandrayaan 2 on the lunar surface.
