In February, Bandipur Tiger\nReserve had witnessed a major fire which spread to the adjoining Wayanad\nwildlife sanctuary.<\/li><li>The Bandipur National park is located in\nKarnataka. It was established in 1974 as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger. <\/li><li>Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Kerala.\nIt was notified as an Elephant Reserve under Project elephant. The Project\nElephant scheme was launched by the Government of India in 1991 for better\nconservation of elephant through protection and management of their habitat.<\/li><li>The, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Bandipur\nNational Park, Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Nagarhole &nbsp;National Park, Mukurthi National Park and\nSilent Valley are part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
