Mozambique is\nlocated in Southeast Africa. It is bordered by the Indian Ocean in the east. <\/li><li>HADR operation seeks to provide immediate\nsuccour and relief to the disaster affected population. In response to a\nrequest from the Mozambique government, the Indian government three Indian\nNaval Ships (INS Sujatha, INS Shardul &amp; INS Sarathi) to Beira to help in\nsearch and rescue, provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.<\/li><li>The Indian Navy annually conducts Humanitarian\nAssistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise. The exercise seeks to validate\nthe Indian Navy\u2019s capability to provide immediate disaster relief assistance in\nthe aftermath of a disaster. In 2018, a joint humanitarian assistance and\ndisaster relief (HADR) exercise &#8216;Chakravath,&#8217; was organised by the Indian Navy\nin coordination with the Kerala government.<\/li><li>Indian Navy has participated in many HADR\noperations in the aftermath of disasters in Indian Ocean Region.
