{"id":85678,"date":"2019-04-18T13:17:15","date_gmt":"2019-04-18T07:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=3816"},"modified":"2021-02-27T17:04:46","modified_gmt":"2021-02-27T11:34:46","slug":"rain-thunderstorm-leave-over-50-dead-in-four-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/rain-thunderstorm-leave-over-50-dead-in-four-states\/","title":{"rendered":"Rain, thunderstorm leave over 50 dead in four States"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and\nlightning has killed more than 50 people across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh,\nGujarat and Maharashtra.<\/li><li>The government has approved Rs. 2 lakh PM\u2019s\nNational Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the\nunseasonal rain in different states.<\/li><li>In 1948, Prime Minister\u2019s National Relief Fund\n(PMNRF) was established with public contributions to assist displaced persons\nfrom Pakistan. <\/li><li>At present, the resources of the PMNRF are utilized\nprimarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural\ncalamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of\nthe major accidents and riots. The fund consists entirely of public\ncontributions and does not get any budgetary support<\/li><li>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has\nsaid that the unseasonal rainfall was caused by western disturbance. Western\ndisturbance (WD) is an extra-tropical storm which originates in the\nMediterranean region. It is a low pressure system that travels from the western\nto the eastern direction.
