{"id":85701,"date":"2019-11-16T12:13:19","date_gmt":"2019-11-16T06:43:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=11630"},"modified":"2021-02-27T16:54:33","modified_gmt":"2021-02-27T11:24:33","slug":"ndrf-to-train-unit-to-save-heritage-structures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ndrf-to-train-unit-to-save-heritage-structures\/","title":{"rendered":"NDRF to train unit to save heritage structures"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News<\/strong>: The National\nDisaster Response Force (NDRF) has decided to come up with a specialized unit\nin each battalion to help preserve monuments and other heritage structure in\npre and post disaster scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About National\nDisaster Response Force (NDRF)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The NDRF is a specialised force constituted for\nthe purpose of specialist response to a threatening disaster situation or\ndisaster under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role of NDRF:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Provide specialized response for rescue and\nrelief in case of disasters-natural and manmade.<ul><li>Deployment in case of impending disasters.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Assistance to civil authorities in distribution\nof relief material during\/after disaster.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Co- ordination with other agencies engaged in\nrescue\/relief work<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tasks of NDRF:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deployment in case of impending disaster and provide\nspecialist response in case of disasters which covers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Removal of debris.<\/li><li>Extrication of victims-live or dead.<\/li><li>First medical response to victims.<\/li><li>To extend moral support to victims.<\/li><li>Assistance to civil authorities in distribution\nof relief material<\/li><li>Co-ordination with sister agencies.<\/li><li>Providing assistance to foreign countries if\nasked.<\/li><li>Capacity building.<\/li><li>Imparting training to State Disaster Response\nForces (SDRF)<\/li><li>Community awareness- Target groups-villagers, school\nchildren, NGOs, volunteers and state administration.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has decided to come up with a specialized unit in each battalion to help preserve monuments and other heritage structure in pre and post disaster scenarios.
