On\n10 March 2019, A 737 MAX 8 aircraft operated by Ethiopian Airlines had crashed\nnear Addis Ababa killing 157 people.<\/li><li>Recently, Directorate General of Civil Aviation,\nIndia has decided to ground Boeing 737 Max 8 planes till appropriate\nmodifications and safety measures are taken.<\/li><li>DGCA have issued safety guidelines for the\noperation of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. These include: (a) Pilots should have at\nleast 1,000 hours of flying experience to command these planes (b) engineering\ndepartments have been instructed not to release the planes for operations in\ncase of dual failure of autopilot, faults in spoiler system and (c) stringent\nchecks of the aircraft\u2019s autopilot and stall management systems during\nlong-transit stays.<\/li><li>The Boeing 737 MAX is an American narrow-body\naircraft series designed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
