{"id":86270,"date":"2019-09-17T15:29:21","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T09:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10198"},"modified":"2019-09-17T15:29:21","modified_gmt":"2019-09-17T09:59:21","slug":"digital-certificate-of-origin-system-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/digital-certificate-of-origin-system-unveiled\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital certificate of origin system unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Commerce Ministry has launched the common digital platform for the issuance of certificates of origin.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Is a Certificate of Origin(CO)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A certificate of origin(CO) is a document declaring in which country a commodity or good was manufactured.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The certificate of origin contains information regarding the product, its destination and the country of export.It is required by many treaty agreements for cross-border trade.<\/li><li>Certificate of origin(CO) is an important form because it can help determine whether certain goods are eligible for import or whether goods are subject to duties.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About electronic Certificates of Origin:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The platform has been designed and developed by the Director-General of Foreign Trade(DGFT) and Regional &amp; Multilateral Trade Relations (RMTR) Division,Department of Commerce.<\/li><li>This platform will act as a single access point for all exporters, all Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)\/Preferential Trade Agreements(PTAs) and all concerned agencies.<\/li><li>The platform also provides administrative access to the Department of Commerce for reporting and monitoring purposes.<\/li><li>Further,the authorities of the partner countries will also be able to verify the authenticity of certificates from the website.<\/li><li>The benefits of the new system over the existing process are:-<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/kOsWYUB1nxBJeIfwo6WhffhiV2G_viYEKWHnr_q2OPMrjb0hlSnqtV1wXAcM5O_d8q5PUfbTFXqsTH2IO-Vi9w5s1qoQdXIyYfF2nkBTCmR6hcqKO4AnX_kCLhzBK5RwbO0KW_-c\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Commerce Ministry has launched the common digital platform for the issuance of certificates of origin.
