{"id":86280,"date":"2019-09-26T16:48:10","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T11:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10417"},"modified":"2019-09-26T16:48:10","modified_gmt":"2019-09-26T11:18:10","slug":"economic-advisory-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/economic-advisory-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Economic Advisory Council"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Government of India has reconstituted the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister(EAC-PM) for a period of two years with effect from 26th September 2019.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About EAC-PM:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister(EAC-PM)&nbsp; is a non-constitutional, non-permanent and independent body constituted to give economic advice to the Government of India, specifically the Prime Minister.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Terms of reference:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Analyzing any issue, economic or otherwise, referred to it by the Prime Minister and advising the PM.<\/li><li>Addressing issues of macroeconomic importance and presenting views thereon to the Prime Minister.This could be either suo-moto or on a reference from the Prime Minister.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The PMEAC is chaired by a Chairperson and consists of eminent economists as members.<\/li><li>It is supported in its functions by a team of officials and administrators.
