{"id":86363,"date":"2019-11-23T15:46:20","date_gmt":"2019-11-23T10:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=11854"},"modified":"2019-11-23T15:46:20","modified_gmt":"2019-11-23T10:16:20","slug":"integrated-skill-development-scheme-in-the-textile-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/integrated-skill-development-scheme-in-the-textile-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Integrated Skill Development Scheme in the Textile Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Recently,a meeting was organised under Samarth-Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles sector(SCBTS) to familiarize the stakeholders about the scheme and its guidelines.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Samarth-Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles sector(SCBTS):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Samarth is a skill development scheme under the Union Ministry of Textiles.<\/li><li>The scheme aims to provide skill development to the youth for gainful and sustainable employment in the textile sector covering entire value chain of textiles excluding spinning and weaving.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives of the scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To provide demand driven, placement oriented National Skills Qualifications Framework(NSQF) compliant skilling programmes.<\/li><li>To promote skilling and skill upgradation in the traditional sectors of handlooms, handicrafts, sericulture and jute.<\/li><li>To enable provision of sustainable livelihood either by wage or self employment to all sections of the society across the country.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target:<\/strong>The Scheme targets to train 10 lakh persons (9 lakhs in organised &amp; 1 lakh in traditional sector).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Implementation:<\/strong>The skilling programmes would be implemented through following Implementing Agencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Textile Industry.<\/li><li>Institutions\/Organization of the Ministry of Textile\/State Governments having training infrastructure and placement tie-ups with textile industry.<\/li><li>Reputed training institutions\/ NGOs\/ Societies\/ Trusts\/ Organizations\/ Companies \/Startups \/ Entrepreneurs active in textile sector having placement tie-ups with textile industry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About NSQF:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>National Skills Qualifications Framework(NSQF) is a quality assurance framework which organizes qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude.&nbsp;<\/li><li>These levels are defined in terms of learning outcomes which the learner must possess regardless of whether they were acquired through formal, non-formal or informal learning.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Recently,a meeting was organised under Samarth-Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles sector(SCBTS) to familiarize the stakeholders about the scheme and its guidelines.
