{"id":86519,"date":"2020-04-23T02:34:31","date_gmt":"2020-04-22T21:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=14957"},"modified":"2020-04-23T02:34:31","modified_gmt":"2020-04-22T21:04:31","slug":"strategic-petroleum-reservesspr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/strategic-petroleum-reservesspr\/","title":{"rendered":"Strategic Petroleum Reserves(SPR)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Ministry for Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas has allowed the public sector refiners to use the strategic Petroleum reserves(SPR) for storing their oil purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Strategic Petroleum Reserves(SPR): <\/strong>These are stockpiles of crude oil maintained by countries or private industries which are meant to tackle emergency situations to counter short-term supply disruptions.<\/li><li>The Strategic Crude Oil Storage facilities in India is managed by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited(ISPRL), a Special Purpose Vehicle which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil Industry Development Board(OIDB) under the Ministry of Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas.<\/li><li>ISPRL has established Strategic Petroleum Reserves(SPR) facilities at three locations namely Visakhapatnam, Mangalore and Padur.<\/li><li>Government has approved the establishment of two additional SPR facilities at Chandikhol in Odisha and Padur in Karnataka.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Ministry for Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas has allowed the public sector refiners to use the strategic Petroleum reserves(SPR) for storing their oil purchases.
