{"id":86529,"date":"2020-04-30T21:05:33","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T15:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=15146"},"modified":"2020-04-30T21:05:33","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T15:35:33","slug":"task-force-on-nip-submits-final-report-to-finance-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/task-force-on-nip-submits-final-report-to-finance-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"Task Force on NIP submits final report to Finance Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>The Task Force on the National Infrastructure Pipeline(NIP) for 2019-25 has submitted its Final Report to the Finance Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>National Infrastructure Pipeline(NIP): <\/strong>It is the investment plan unveiled by the Central Government for enhancing infrastructure in identified sectors for a period of five years from 2020-25 with the aim to help India reach a $5 trillion economy by 2025.<\/li><li><strong>Task Force: <\/strong>Government of India has constituted a task force chaired by Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs,Ministry of Finance to prepare a roadmap for NIP.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Recommendations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Investment: <\/strong>It has projected an investment of around \u20b9111 lakh-crore during financial year 2020-25.<\/li><li><strong>Funding<\/strong>: Centre &#8211; 39%, States &#8211; 40% and Private Sector &#8211; 21%.<\/li><li><strong>Sector wise investment: <\/strong>Energy(24%), Roads(18%), Urban(17%), Railways(12%).<\/li><li><strong>Progress of Projects:<\/strong> <strong>a) <\/strong>Projects under implementation- Rs 44 lakh crore <strong>b) <\/strong>Projects at Conceptual Stage- Rs 33 lakh crore <strong>c) <\/strong>Projects under development- Rs 22 lakh crore.<\/li><li><strong>Measures suggested: a) <\/strong>Aggressive push towards asset sales <strong>b) <\/strong>Monetisation of infrastructure assets <strong>c) <\/strong>Setting up of development finance institutions and <strong>d) <\/strong>Strengthening the municipal bond market.<\/li><li><strong>Committees suggested: a) <\/strong>Committee to monitor NIP progress to help eliminate delays <strong>b) <\/strong>Steering Committee in each infrastructure ministry level for following up implementation and <strong>c) <\/strong>Steering Committee in Department of Economic Affairs(DEA) for raising financial resources for the NIP.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:The Task Force on the National Infrastructure Pipeline(NIP) for 2019-25 has submitted its Final Report to the Finance Minister.
