{"id":86570,"date":"2020-06-26T15:03:32","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T09:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=16092"},"modified":"2020-06-26T15:03:32","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T09:33:32","slug":"cabinet-approves-2-interest-subvention-for-shishu-mudra-loans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/cabinet-approves-2-interest-subvention-for-shishu-mudra-loans\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves 2% interest subvention for Shishu-Mudra loans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> Government has approved a 2% interest subsidy for Shishu loan account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana(PMMY) for a period of 12 months to eligible borrowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana(PMMY): <\/strong>It was launched by the Prime Minister in 2015.<\/li><li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>To provide loans up to 10 lakh to the non-corporate, non-farm small\/micro enterprises.<\/li><li><strong>Lending Institutions: <\/strong>Commercial Banks, RRBs, Small Finance Banks, MFIs and NBFCs.<\/li><li><strong>Categories of Loans: <\/strong>MUDRA has created three products as per the stage of growth and funding needs of the beneficiary micro unit:<ul><li><strong>Shishu<\/strong>: Covering loans up to Rs. 50,000.<\/li><li><strong>Kishore<\/strong>: Covering loans above Rs. 50,000 and up to Rs. 5 lakh<\/li><li><strong>Tarun<\/strong>: Covering loans above Rs. 5 lakh and up to Rs. 10 lakh.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Udyami Mitra Portal: <\/strong>It was launched by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to improve accessibility of credit and handholding services to MSMEs.<\/li><li><strong>Udyam Sakhi: <\/strong>It is an initiative of the Ministry of Micro,Small &amp; Medium Enterprises (MSME) to encourage women entrepreneurs by creating business models revolving around low-cost products and services to empower women and make them self-reliant and self-sufficient.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Government has approved a 2% interest subsidy for Shishu loan account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana(PMMY) for a period of 12 months to eligible borrowers.
