The inspection is\nto be done to ascertain the demarcation of river floodplain in Agra and the\nconstruction on it.<\/li><li>At previous instances, the NGT had rebuked Uttar\nPradesh government for improper demarcation of floodplain of river Yamuna. The\ntribunal had also slammed Agra Development Authority for allowing construction\non the floodplain.<\/li><li>In 2015, NGT had restrained real estate\ndevelopment close to Yamuna. It had also banned dumping of construction\nmaterial into the Yamuna. <\/li><li>The National Green Tribunal was established in\n2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act 2010. The responsibility of the\ntribunal is to work on the disposal of cases related to environmental\nprotection, conservation of forests and other natural resources.<\/li><li>The Namami Gange is an Integrated Conservation\nMission which seeks effective abatement of pollution, conservation and\nrejuvenation of River Ganga.<\/li><li>National Institute of Hydrology is an autonomous\nbody under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga\nRejuvenation.
