Malaysia\nhas ranked first among the countries with the highest number of impacted\nspecies (125), followed by Brunei and Singapore. India has ranked 16th (35\nthreatened species affected on average). Forests in Western Ghats, Himalaya and\nnorth-east are particularly threatened. <\/li><li>The study has also identified \u2018coolspots\u2019 that\nact as refuges from threats.
