Bangladesh has\nnamed the prospective tropical cyclone \u201cFani\u201d.<\/li><li>Tropical cyclone is a system of low pressure\noccurring in tropical latitudes. The cyclone activity is at its maximum in late\nsummer and early autumn.<\/li><li>In April and May, tropical cyclones form in the\nSouth and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal and move initially northwest, north\nand then recurve to the northeast striking the Arakan coasts in April and\nAndhra-Orissa-West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts in May.<\/li><li>For quick identification of storms in warning\nmessages, naming of cyclones are done. The tradition of naming cyclones started\nwith hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean, where<\/li><li>The process of naming cyclones involves several\ncountries in the region and is done under the aegis of the World Meteorological\nOrganization. For the Indian Ocean region, deliberations for naming cyclones\nbegan in 2000.
