{"id":86968,"date":"2019-09-13T16:52:10","date_gmt":"2019-09-13T11:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10072"},"modified":"2019-09-13T16:52:10","modified_gmt":"2019-09-13T11:22:10","slug":"swachhata-hi-seva-shs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/swachhata-hi-seva-shs\/","title":{"rendered":"Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Prime Minister has launched Swachhata Hi Seva(SHS) 2019&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Swachhata Hi Seva(SHS):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Swachhta Hi Sewa\u2019 (Cleanliness is service) is a campaign launched in 2018 as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The campaign is being coordinated by the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation,convening Ministry for the Swachh Bharat Mission.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The objective of the campaign is to mobilise people and reinforce jan aandolan (mass movement) for sanitation and to contribute to Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s dream of a Clean India.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swachhata Hi Seva(SHS) 2019&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Swachata hi Sewa 2019 theme is \u2018plastic waste awareness and management\u2019.<\/li><li>The campaign will witness mass awareness generation activities on plastic waste management between September 11 and October 1,2019.<\/li><li>The SHS campaign 2019 would give a big boost to subsequent collection, recycling and disposal of plastic waste.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Swachh Bharat Abhiyan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a cleanliness campaign initiated by Govt. of India in 2014.It seeks to achieve a Clean India by 2019 as a tribute to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.<\/li><li>It has two sub-missions.Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swachh Bharat Mission(Gramin)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Swachh Bharat Mission(Gramin)&nbsp; aims to improve the levels of cleanliness in rural areas through Solid and Liquid Waste Management activities and making villages Open Defecation Free (ODF) and clean.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is implemented by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Jal Shakti Ministry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swachh Bharat Mission(Urban)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) aims at elimination of open defecation, conversion of unsanitary toilets to pour flush toilets, eradication of manual scavenging, municipal solid waste management and bringing about a behavioural change in people regarding healthy sanitation practices.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Prime Minister has launched Swachhata Hi Seva(SHS) 2019&nbsp;
