Different techniques include:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>o &nbsp; Membrane Filtration \u2013 Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>o &nbsp; Reverse Osmosis \u2013 Nanofiltration\/Membrane Softening<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reverse<\/strong> <strong>Osmosis<\/strong>: It occurs when water moves through a semi-permeable membrane in the direction opposite to that for natural osmosis.
