{"id":87309,"date":"2020-07-10T16:24:14","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T10:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=16307"},"modified":"2020-07-10T16:24:14","modified_gmt":"2020-07-10T10:54:14","slug":"prime-minister-to-inaugurate-rewa-solar-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/prime-minister-to-inaugurate-rewa-solar-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"Prime minister to inaugurate Rewa solar plant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News: <\/strong>Prime Minister will inaugurate the 750 MW Rewa Solar plant set up at Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Rewa Solar Plant:<\/strong>It is Asia\u2019s largest solar power project.It has been developed by the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) a joint venture company of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.<\/li><li><strong>Solar Capacity: <\/strong>The solar plant has a total solar installed capacity of 750 MW.<\/li><li><strong>Significance: <\/strong>It is the first solar park of India to receive funding from the World Bank and also the first project to get funding from Clean Technology Fund in India.<\/li><li>The project is also the first renewable energy project to supply to an institutional customer outside the state, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.<\/li><li><strong>Impact: <\/strong>The project would lead to avoiding 15.4 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide generation every year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Clean Technology Fund:<\/strong> It is one of two multi-donor Trust Funds within the Climate Investment Funds(CIFs),the other being the Strategic Climate Fund.<ul><li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>To provide scaled up financing to contribute to the demonstration, deployment and transfer of low-carbon technologies with a significant potential for long-term greenhouse gas emissions savings.<\/li><li><strong>Trustee: <\/strong>The World Bank is the Trustee and administering unit of CTF Fund.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Prime Minister will inaugurate the 750 MW Rewa Solar plant set up at Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.
