{"id":88041,"date":"2019-09-24T17:44:34","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T12:14:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=10366"},"modified":"2019-09-24T17:44:34","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T12:14:34","slug":"indiauae-discuss-areas-of-cooperation-to-strengthen-economic-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indiauae-discuss-areas-of-cooperation-to-strengthen-economic-ties\/","title":{"rendered":"India,UAE discuss areas of cooperation to strengthen economic ties"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>The seventh meeting of the UAE-India High Level Joint Task Force on Investments was held in Abu Dhabi,UAE.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the task force:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Task Force was established in 2012 as a key forum to promote economic ties between the UAE and India.&nbsp;<\/li><li>It aims to promote and facilitate investments between the two countries and in addressing mutual concerns.<\/li><li>Further, the task force has acquired more importance since the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed in 2017.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the meeting:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The meeting reviewed the significant progress made to enhance bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.<\/li><li>The countries discussed the issues relating to the tax treatment of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority(ADIA) for investment in India.<\/li><li>India has agreed to give an early consideration and mutually beneficial solution to the issue in a way that could facilitate ADIA\u2019s investments in India.<\/li><li>The countries also expressed satisfaction on the progress made by the Task Force including (a)the signing of a bilateral agreement for the promotion and protection of investments which is now being renegotiated as a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) (b) the UAE\u2019s contribution to India\u2019s strategic petroleum reserve among others.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:The seventh meeting of the UAE-India High Level Joint Task Force on Investments was held in Abu Dhabi,UAE.
