It is located near India Gate in New Delhi.<\/li><li>The memorial has been built in remembrance of\nsoldiers who sacrificed their lives while protecting the country,\npost-independence. It also commemorates the soldiers who participated and made\nthe sacrifice in Peace Keeping Missions, and Counter Insurgency Operations.<\/li><li>The layout of the National War Memorial\ncomprises four concentric circles: a) \u2018Amar Chakra\u2019 or Circle of Immortality,\nb) \u2018Veerta Chakra\u2019 or Circle of Bravery, c) \u2018Tyag Chakra\u2019 or Circle of\nSacrifice and d) \u2018Rakshak Chakra\u2019 or Circle of Protection.<\/li><li>The National War Memorial complex includes: a)\ncentral obelisk, b) an eternal flame, and c) six bronze murals depicting famous\nbattles fought by Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.
