{"id":88877,"date":"2019-03-05T18:04:36","date_gmt":"2019-03-05T12:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=2165"},"modified":"2019-03-05T18:04:36","modified_gmt":"2019-03-05T12:34:36","slug":"border-surveillance-in-dhubri-from-today-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/border-surveillance-in-dhubri-from-today-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Border surveillance in Dhubri from today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The\nUnion Home Minister has inaugurated the BOLD-QIT (Border Electronically\nDominated QRT Interception Technique)&nbsp;on India-Bangladesh border in Dhubri\nDistrict of Assam.<\/li><li>BOLD-QIT\nis the project to install technical systems under the Comprehensive Integrated\nBorder Management System (CIBMS). &nbsp;CIBMS is an integration of a number of high\ntech surveillance equipment, technologies and trained human resource to ensure robust\nsurveillance&nbsp;across borders. It is designed to guard stretches where\nphysical surveillance is not possible either due to inhospitable&nbsp;terrain\nor riverine borders. <\/li><li>The implementation of Comprehensive Integrated\nBorder Management System (CIBMS), was formulated in 2016 after the attack on\nthe Pathankot Air Force Station. Two smart border fencing pilot projects are in\nplace along International Border in\nJammu.<\/li><li>BOLD-QIT will be operationalized in a 61 Km riverine\nsection of international border between Indian and Bangladesh in Dhubri\ndistrict. The area consists of \u2018char\u2019 (sand islands) and innumerable river\nchannels. During monsoon the entire area is flooded which makes it challenging\nfor the BSF to patrol. <\/li><li>The&nbsp;Border\nSecurity Force (BSF)is a Border Guarding Force of India. It is a paramilitary force charged with\nguarding India&#8217;s land border during peace time and preventing transnational\ncrime.
