It is a biennial festival celebrated in Berhampur,\nGanjam district, Odhisa. <\/li><li>During\nthe festival, Goddess Budhi Thakurani is taken from the main temple at\nThakurani Temple Street to her temporary abode at Desibehera Street, where she\nstays till the festival ends.<\/li><li>According\nto historians, first Thakurani Yatra was celebrated in April, 1779. The hereditary\nhead of the festival is Desibhera, the head of Dera community. Dera is a\ncommunity of weavers of Berhampur.<\/li><li>Berhampur\nis famous for its silk sarees and handloom cloth.
