Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and IIT-Delhi\nhas ranked 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> respectively.<\/li><li>In the university category, IISc Bangalore\nranked first followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. In the\nmanagement category, IIM- Bengaluru ranked first followed by IIM Ahmedabad. <\/li><li>Delhi University\u2019s Miranda House College has\ntopped the college\u2019s rankings followed by Hindu College and Presidency College\nin Chennai. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi and National\nLaw School of India University, Bengaluru, have been adjudged as the best\nmedical college and law school respectively.<\/li><li>The National Institutional Ranking Framework\n(NIRF) was launched by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2015.\nIt provides for a methodology to rank institutions and universities across\nIndia. <\/li><li>The different parameters taken into account for\nranking universities and institutions are: a) Teaching Learning and Resources,\nb) Research Professional Practice &amp; Collaborative Performance, c)\nGraduation outcome, d) Outreach and Inclusivity and e) perception by the\ninstitution by its stakeholders. <\/li><li>The different categories for which rankings are\ngiven include Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, Law,\nUniversities and Colleges.
