{"id":89347,"date":"2019-11-27T17:50:06","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T12:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=11976"},"modified":"2019-11-27T17:50:06","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T12:20:06","slug":"the-president-of-india-launches-web-portal-of-national-youth-parliament-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/the-president-of-india-launches-web-portal-of-national-youth-parliament-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"The President of India launches web-portal of \u201cNational Youth Parliament Scheme\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> President of India has launched the Web-Portal of \u201cNational Youth Parliament Scheme\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Web portal of National Youth Parliament Scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong> to increase the outreach of the youth parliament programme to hitherto untouched sections and corners of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salient features:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All recognised educational institutions of the country are eligible to participate in this programme.<\/li><li>The registration for participation will be done by the education institutions through the web-portal using E-training modules, videos, photographs and scripts are available on the portal for online self-learning of the participants.<\/li><li>After successful registration, the educational institutions will be able to conduct youth parliament sittings in their respective institutions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National Youth Parliament Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It was launched in 1966 in Schools under the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi and NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Universities\/ Colleges.<\/li><li>The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.<\/li><li>The scheme encompasses conducting National Youth Parliament Competition every year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Objectives:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;Familiarize the students with the practice and procedures of Parliament, techniques of discussion and debate<\/li><li>Develop leadership qualities, spirit of self-discipline and tolerance of diverse opinions and healthy competition<\/li><li>Inculcate among younger generations the art and skill of effective oratory, righteous expression of views and other virtues of a democratic way of life<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: President of India has launched the Web-Portal of \u201cNational Youth Parliament Scheme\u201d.
