It aims to reduce the\nlogistics costs by doubling the share of domestic waterways in the modal mix\nfrom current 6 per cent (PIB)<\/li><li><strong>Interlinking of Rivers Programme<\/strong>: The project is expected to offer potential\nbenefits to the transport sector through navigation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inland Waterways Authority of India<\/strong>: It was formed in 1986.
