{"id":89435,"date":"2020-03-13T14:46:32","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T09:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=14242"},"modified":"2020-03-13T14:46:32","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T09:16:32","slug":"search-and-rescue-exercise-sarex-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/search-and-rescue-exercise-sarex-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX-2020)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Recently,the Indian Coast Guard(ICG) has conducted the National level Search and Rescue Exercise(SAREX-2020) in Goa.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the exercise:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The exercise has been conducted biennially since 2003 by Indian Coast Guard under the aegis of National Maritime Search and Rescue Board(NMSARB).<\/li><li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>To test the efficiency of operations and coordination of the stakeholders involved in Search and Rescue in the Indian Ocean Region.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Theme: <\/strong>Harmonization of Maritime and Aeronautical Search and Rescue named \u2018HAMSAR\u2019.<\/li><li>Further,the exercise witnessed the participation of around 24 overseas observers from 19 countries.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About NMSARB:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>National Maritime Search and Rescue Board (NMSARB) was constituted by the union government in 2002 with the Director General of Indian Coast Guard(ICG) as its Chairman.<\/li><li>The board coordinates the National Search and Rescue Plan in accordance with the provisions of International Conventions.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Recently,the Indian Coast Guard(ICG) has conducted the National level Search and Rescue Exercise(SAREX-2020) in Goa.
