{"id":89483,"date":"2020-08-26T19:16:27","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T13:46:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=17097"},"modified":"2020-08-26T19:16:27","modified_gmt":"2020-08-26T13:46:27","slug":"ministry-of-tourism-organises-the-50th-webinar-titled-cultural-heritage-of-hyderabad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ministry-of-tourism-organises-the-50th-webinar-titled-cultural-heritage-of-hyderabad\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Tourism organises the 50th webinar titled \u201cCultural heritage of Hyderabad\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> Ministry of Tourism\u2019s Dekho Apna Desh Webinar Series organized the 50th webinar titled \u201cCultural heritage of Hyderabad\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Hyderabad: <\/strong>It is known as the \u201cCity of Pearls\u201d and the \u201cCity of Nizams\u201d and has been the centre of a vibrant historical legacy ever since its inception by the Qutub Shahi dynasty.<\/li><li><strong>Established by: <\/strong>Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah established Hyderabad in 1591 to extend the capital beyond the fortified Golconda.In 1687, the city was annexed by the Mughals.In 1724, Mughal governor Nizam Asaf Jah I declared his sovereignty and founded the Asaf Jahi dynasty also known as the Nizams.<\/li><li><strong>Important Cultural Sites:<\/strong><ul><li><strong>Golconda Fort: <\/strong>It is a fortified citadel and an early capital city of the Qutb Shahi dynasty.It was first built by the Kakatiya dynasty in the 13th century.<\/li><li><strong>Chowmahalla Palace: <\/strong>It has bagged the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Merit Award for Culture Heritage Conservation.<\/li><li><strong>Charminar<\/strong>: The monument was erected when Quli Qutub Shah shifted his capital from Golconda to Hyderabad.<\/li><li><strong>Mecca Masjid<\/strong>: Completed by Aurangazeb in 1693.The bricks used here are believed to be from Mecca and hence the name.<\/li><li><strong>Warangal Fort: <\/strong>This fort appears to have existed since at least the 12th century when it was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>DekhoApnaDesh webinar series: <\/strong>It was launched by the Ministry of Tourism in April 2020 to create awareness about and promote various tourism destinations of India.<\/li><li><strong>Incredible India:<\/strong> It is the name of an international tourism campaign maintained by the Government of India since 2002 to promote tourism in India.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Ministry of Tourism\u2019s Dekho Apna Desh Webinar Series organized the 50th webinar titled \u201cCultural heritage of Hyderabad\u201d.
