{"id":89498,"date":"2020-10-24T19:13:03","date_gmt":"2020-10-24T13:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=18090"},"modified":"2021-06-22T16:10:12","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T10:40:12","slug":"drdo-executes-final-user-trial-of-nag-anti-tank-missile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/drdo-executes-final-user-trial-of-nag-anti-tank-missile\/","title":{"rendered":"DRDO executes final user trial of Nag anti-tank missile"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>\u00a0Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO) has successfully carried out the final user trial of the Anti Tank Guided Missile(ATGM), Nag.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Nag:<\/strong>\u00a0It is a third-generation, fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) developed by DRDO.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Purpose:\u00a0<\/strong>The missile has been developed to strike and neutralise highly-fortified enemy tanks in day and night conditions.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Range:\u00a0<\/strong>The missile has a range of 4-7 km and can be launched from both land as well as air-based platforms.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Significance:\u00a0<\/strong>NAG will now enter into production phase and will be produced by the defence firm Bharat Dynamics Limited(BDL) whereas Ordnance Factory Medak will produce the NAMICA(Nag missile carrier).<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Developed under:\u00a0<\/strong>The missile has been indigenously developed under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme(IGMDP).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Additional Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>IGMDP:\u00a0<\/strong>It<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>was conceived by Dr. APJ.
