The petition had said that the scheduled date of polling for the\nLok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry falls during the &#8216;Holy Triduum&#8217;,\nwhich begins with &#8216;Maundy Thursday&#8217; and is followed by Good Friday and Holy\nEaster.<\/li><li>The petition had said that the polling during\nthe holy period would affect the fundamental right of Christians to worship.<\/li><li>Article 25 to Article 28 of the Indian\nConstitution guarantees the right to freedom of religion to all the citizens\nresiding within the territorial boundaries of India. Article 25 provides for freedom\nof conscience and free profession, practice, and propagation of religion. Article\n26 provides the freedom to manage religious affairs. Article 27 provides freedom\nfrom payment of taxes for promotion of any particular religion.
