Under this challenge, States\/ UTs will select six sites across India for constructing the Lighthouse projects under GHTC-India.\u00a0The selected sites for lighthouse projects will be used as an\u00a0\u2018open laboratory\u2019 for live demonstration of advanced technologies. Lighthouse projects mean model projects.<\/li><li>Global Housing Technology Challenge-India\u00a0was launched in January 2019. It aims to transform the eco-system of housing construction sector in\u00a0India through lighthouse projects built using advanced proven technologies.\u00a0The challenge has three components: a) Conduct of Grand Expo-cum-Conference, b) Identifying Proven Demonstrable Technologies from across the globe and c) Promoting Potential Technologies through the establishment of Affordable Sustainable Housing Accelerators- India (ASHA-I) for incubation and accelerator support.<\/li><li>The challenge is an initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U). PMAY-U aims to construct 1.2 crore houses and ensure \u201cHousing for All by 2022\u201d by providing financial assistance to the beneficiaries. It has four components: a) In-situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR), b) Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), c) Beneficiary-led Individual house construction or Enhancement (BLC), and d) Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Housing &amp; Urban Affairs has\u00a0launched the Light House Projects challenge.
