{"id":90220,"date":"2019-12-13T16:30:07","date_gmt":"2019-12-13T11:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=12337"},"modified":"2019-12-13T16:30:07","modified_gmt":"2019-12-13T11:00:07","slug":"national-programme-for-youth-and-adolescent-development-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/national-programme-for-youth-and-adolescent-development-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Minister of State (I\/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports has informed Lok Sabha about the National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development Scheme.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The National Programme for Youth Adolescent Development (NPYAD) is a Central Sector scheme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports.<\/li><li>It was formulated during 10th five year plan in 2006-07 by merging four central sector grants-in-aid schemes.<\/li><li>The scheme aims at providing opportunity for holistic development of youth including adolescents for realisation of their fullest potential.<\/li><li>The scheme is one of the sub schemes under the Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram Scheme.<\/li><li>The Youth and Adolescents for the purpose of the scheme would be as defined in the National Youth Policy.&nbsp;<\/li><li>In other words,the expression \u2018youth\u2019 would cover persons belonging to the age group of 15 to 29 years and \u2018adolescent\u2019 would cover persons in the age group of 10-19 years under the scheme.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives of the scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Develop leadership qualities and personality development of youth and to channelise their energy towards socio-economic development and growth of the nation;<\/li><li>Promote national integration, strengthen secular and eclectic outlook through creative expressions by youth;<\/li><li>Foster the spirit of adventure, risk taking, teamwork, the capacity of ready and vital response to challenging situations and of endurance among youth among others.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram Scheme is an ongoing Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports and has been continuing since 12th Five Year Plan.<\/li><li>The scheme aims to develop the personality and leadership qualities of the youth and to engage them in nation building activities.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sub-schemes under Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS);<\/li><li>National Youth Corps (NYC);<\/li><li>National Programme for Youth &amp; Adolescent Development (NPYAD);<\/li><li>International Cooperation;<\/li><li>Youth Hostels (YH);<\/li><li>Assistance to Scouting &amp; Guiding Organizations;<\/li><li>National Discipline Scheme (NDS); and<\/li><li>National Young Leaders Programme (NYLP).<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Minister of State (I\/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports has informed Lok Sabha about the National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development Scheme.
