{"id":90530,"date":"2020-05-22T19:17:56","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T13:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=15601"},"modified":"2020-05-22T19:17:56","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T13:47:56","slug":"pm-vaya-vandana-yojana-pension-scheme-extended-till-march-31-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/pm-vaya-vandana-yojana-pension-scheme-extended-till-march-31-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Vaya Vandana Yojana pension scheme extended till March 31, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Government of India has extended Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) pension scheme meant for senior citizens till March 31, 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Launched Year:<\/strong> 2017.<\/li><li><strong>Aim<\/strong>:To provide social security during old age and to protect elderly persons aged 60 and above against a future fall in their interest income due to uncertain market conditions.<\/li><li><strong>Implementation: <\/strong>Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)<\/li><li><strong>Minimum entry age<\/strong>: 60 years (completed)<\/li><li><strong>Maximum entry age:<\/strong> No limit<\/li><li><strong>Investment limit:<\/strong> One can invest a maximum amount of Rs.15 lakh.<\/li><li><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><ul><li><strong>Pension Payment:<\/strong> On survival of the Pensioner during the policy term of 10 years, pension in arrears (at the end of each period as per mode chosen) shall be payable.<\/li><li><strong>Death Benefit<\/strong>: On death of the Pensioner during the policy term of 10 years, the Purchase Price shall be refunded to the beneficiary.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Interest Rate: <\/strong>It provides initially an assured rate of return of 7.40 % per annum for the year 2020-21 per annum and thereafter to be reset every year.<\/li><li><strong>Loan: <\/strong>Loan facility is available after completion of 3 policy years.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Tax: <\/strong>The scheme is exempted from GST.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Government of India has extended Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) pension scheme meant for senior citizens till March 31, 2023.&nbsp; Facts: Launched Year: 2017.
