{"id":90539,"date":"2020-06-02T22:54:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-02T17:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=15742"},"modified":"2020-06-02T22:54:00","modified_gmt":"2020-06-02T17:24:00","slug":"kisan-credit-cards-kcc-campaign-launched-for-1-5-crore-dairy-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/kisan-credit-cards-kcc-campaign-launched-for-1-5-crore-dairy-farmers\/","title":{"rendered":"Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) campaign launched for 1.5 crore dairy farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> Government of India will provide Kisan Credit Card(KCC) to 1.5 crore dairy farmers belonging to Milk Unions and Milk producing Companies within the next two months under a special drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Kisan Credit Card(KCC) scheme was launched by the Government of India in 1998.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Objective: <\/strong>To provide adequate and timely credit support from the banking system to the farmers for their cultivation and other needs as indicated below:<ul><li>To meet the short term credit requirements for cultivation of crops;<\/li><li>Post-harvest expenses and Produce marketing loan;<\/li><li>Consumption requirements of farmer household;<\/li><li>Working capital for maintenance of farm assets and activities allied to agriculture;<\/li><li>Investment credit requirement for agriculture and allied activities.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Implementation<\/strong>: It is being implemented by Commercial Banks, RRBs, Small Finance Banks and Cooperatives.<\/li><li><strong>Coverage: <\/strong>Small<strong> <\/strong>farmers, marginal farmers, sharecroppers, oral lessee and tenant farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs) or Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) are eligible for availing benefits under the scheme.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Government of India will provide Kisan Credit Card(KCC) to 1.5 crore dairy farmers belonging to Milk Unions and Milk producing Companies within the next two months under a special drive.
