{"id":90570,"date":"2020-06-29T18:32:11","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T13:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=16127"},"modified":"2020-06-29T18:32:11","modified_gmt":"2020-06-29T13:02:11","slug":"world-banks-stars-to-improve-school-education-in-six-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/world-banks-stars-to-improve-school-education-in-six-states\/","title":{"rendered":"World Bank\u2019s STARS to improve school education in six States"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News: <\/strong>The World Bank has approved an assistance of $500 million under \u2018Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States Program(STARS)\u2019 for India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>To improve quality and governance of school education in six Indian states.<\/li><li><strong>Coverage: <\/strong>Six states included in the project are Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Rajasthan.<\/li><li><strong>Implementation: <\/strong>The project will be implemented through the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the flagship scheme of India.<\/li><li><strong>Features of the programme:<\/strong><ul><li>Focusing directly on the delivery of education services at the state, district and sub district levels by providing customized local-level solutions towards school improvement.<\/li><li>Improve the learning assessment systems, strengthen classroom instruction, and remediation, facilitate school-to-work transition and strengthen governance and decentralized management.<\/li><li>To address \u201cthe \u2018learning outcome\u2019 challenge and help students better prepare for the jobs of the future.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan:<\/strong> It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme launched as an integrated scheme for school education extending from pre-school to class XII to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education at all levels of school education.<ul><li>It subsumes the three Schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education(TE).<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The World Bank has approved an assistance of $500 million under \u2018Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States Program(STARS)\u2019 for India.
