{"id":90579,"date":"2020-07-09T23:33:20","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T18:03:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=16297"},"modified":"2020-07-09T23:33:20","modified_gmt":"2020-07-09T18:03:20","slug":"cabinet-approves-setting-up-%e2%82%b91-lakh-cr-agri-infra-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/cabinet-approves-setting-up-%e2%82%b91-lakh-cr-agri-infra-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves setting up \u20b91 lakh-cr agri infra fund"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News: <\/strong>Government of India has approved setting up of an agriculture infrastructure fund with a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Type: <\/strong>Central Sector Scheme.<\/li><li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>To provide a medium-long term debt financing for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management Infrastructure and community farming assets through interest subvention and financial support.<\/li><li><strong>Duration: <\/strong>The duration of the Scheme shall be from FY2020 to FY2029 (10 years).<\/li><li><strong>Coverage: <\/strong>The<strong> <\/strong>fund will provide loans to Primary Agricultural Credit Societies(PACS), Marketing Cooperative Societies, Farmer Producers Organizations(FPOs), Self Help Group(SHG), farmers, Joint Liability Groups (JLG) among others.<\/li><li><strong>Interest subvention: <\/strong>All loans will have interest subvention of 3% per annum up to a limit of \u20b92 crore.This subvention will be available for a maximum period of seven years.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Credit Guarantee: <\/strong>Credit guarantee coverage will also be available for eligible borrowers from this financing facility under Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises(CGTMSE) scheme for a loan up to \u20b92 crore.<\/li><li><strong>Monitoring: <\/strong>The National, State and District level Monitoring Committees will be set up to ensure real-time monitoring and effective feed-back.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Government of India has approved setting up of an agriculture infrastructure fund with a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore.
