It is the second-most common disease in India and\nis responsible for maximum mortality (0.3 million deaths per year).<\/li><li>The estimated number of people living with\ncancer is around 2.25 million. Further, over 11 lakh new cancer patients are\nregistered each year<\/li><li>Lung cancer is the most common type of cancer in\nIndia, followed by breast cancer and oral cancers.<\/li><li>Ayushman Bharat Yojana- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya\nYojana (PM-JAY) is the Central Government\u2019s health insurance scheme. It aims to\ngive medical cover to over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families of\napproximately 50 crore beneficiaries.<\/li><li>It provides a coverage of up to \u20b95 lakh per\nfamily per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.
