It aims to provide opportunities to the Indian telecom stakeholders to meet qualified overseas buyers.<\/li>\n<li>40 Indian telecom companies and 200 foreign delegates from more than 45 countries are attending the event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About TEPC:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Setup by: <\/strong>Ministry of Commerce &amp; Industry and Ministry of Communications<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim<\/strong>: To promote and develop Export of Telecom Equipment and Services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Functions: <\/strong>The council undertakes several activities aimed at exports promotion such as;\n<ul>\n<li>Commissioning of Studies to find potential markets<\/li>\n<li>Recommending to the Government for making necessary changes in various policies and procedures for promotion of Exports and Services.<\/li>\n<li>Holding of National\/International Seminars<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating the participation of exporters in various overseas exhibitions<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination of trade-related data to its members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry: <\/strong>Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective: <\/strong>It is an Export Promotion Scheme. The scheme aims to act as a catalyst to promote India\u2019s exports on a sustained basis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Product and Country Focus Approach: <\/strong>The scheme is formulated on the basis of the product and country focus approach.
