{"id":9520,"date":"2019-08-26T18:22:34","date_gmt":"2019-08-26T12:52:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=9520"},"modified":"2019-08-26T18:22:34","modified_gmt":"2019-08-26T12:52:34","slug":"templates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/templates\/","title":{"rendered":"TEMPLATES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>NASA will study the formation of new stars under\na program called <strong>Targeting Extremely\nMagnified Panchromatic Lensed Arcs and Their Extended Star Formation<\/strong>, or\nTEMPLATES.<\/li><li>The program has four main goals: a) Measure how\nmany new stars are forming, to determine how rapidly galaxies form stars, b)\nMap the star-formation rate in four selected galaxies, c) Compare the young and\nold stellar populations and d) Measure the conditions of the gas within these\ngalaxies<\/li><li>The study will be conducted using NASA\u2019s James\nWebb Space Telescope. Scientists would take help of a natural phenomenon call <strong>gravitational lensing<\/strong> which would magnify\nthe light from distant galaxies that are at or near the peak of star formation.<\/li><li>Gravitational lenses are considered to be natural,\ncosmic telescopes. The phenomenon occurs when a huge amount of matter, such as\na massive galaxy or cluster of galaxies, creates a gravitational field that\ndistorts and magnifies the light from objects behind it.<\/li><li>The effect allows researchers to study the\ndetails of early galaxies too far away to be seen otherwise with even the most\npowerful space telescopes.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NASA will study the formation of new stars under a program called Targeting Extremely Magnified Panchromatic Lensed Arcs and Their Extended Star Formation, or TEMPLATES.
