\n3. Dialects of Bangla and their distinguishing characteristics.
\n4. Elements of Bangla Vocabulary.
\n5. Forms of Bangla Literary Prose\u2014Sadhu and Chalit.
\n6. Processes of language change relevant for Bangla :
\nApinihiti (Anaptyxis), Abhishruti (umlaut), Murdhanyibhavan (cerebralization),
\nNasikyibhavan (Nasalization), Samibhavan (Assimilation), Sadrishya (Analogy), Svaragama
\n(Vowel insertion) \u2014Adi Svaragama, Madhya Svaragama or Svarabhakti, Antya Svaragama,
\nSvarasangati (Vowel harmony), y\u2014shruti and w\u2014shruti.
