It is the 6th offshore patrol vessel to enhance coastal security.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About ICGS Vajra:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Larsen and Toubro Shipbuilding Ltd\u00a0 has indigenously designed and built the <strong>Indian Coast Guard Ship Vessel \u201cVajra\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Moreover, ICGS Vajra is the sixth<\/strong> in the series of seven Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Key Features of ICGS Vajra:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Firstly, it is a 98-meter ship<\/strong> equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is designed to carry one <strong>twin-engine helicopter <\/strong>and four high-speed boats.<\/li>\n<li>Secondly, the vessel can also be used in <strong>Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement, <\/strong>and Maritime Patrol.<\/li>\n<li>Thirdly, the vessel is also capable of carrying <strong>Pollution Response Equipment<\/strong> for oil spill response at Sea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>What are Offshore Patrol Vehicles(OPVs)?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/indian-coast-guard-launches-offshore-patrol-vessel-vigraha\/\">Offshore Patrol Vehicles<\/a>(OPVs) <\/strong>are long-range surface ships.
