{"id":9806,"date":"2019-09-03T16:13:22","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T10:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=9806"},"modified":"2019-09-03T16:13:22","modified_gmt":"2019-09-03T10:43:22","slug":"kvic-launches-terracotta-grinder-at-varanasi-to-re-use-wasted-pottery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/kvic-launches-terracotta-grinder-at-varanasi-to-re-use-wasted-pottery\/","title":{"rendered":"KVIC Launches \u2018Terracotta Grinder\u2019 at Varanasi to Re-use wasted pottery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Khadi and Village Industries Commission(KVIC) has launched a <strong>\u2018Terracotta Grinder\u2019 <\/strong>at Sewapuri in Varanasi.<\/li><li>This terracotta Grinder will grind the wasted and broken pottery items for re-using in pottery-making.<\/li><li>Earlier,the wasted pottery items were grinded in normal mortar and pestle and it&#8217;s fine powder was mixed with the normal clay.Mixing this powder in stipulated ratio to normal clay makes the resulting pottery items stronger.\u00a0<\/li><li>This Terracotta grinder will make grinding of wasted pottery items faster than the traditional mortar and pestle.It will lessen the cost of production, and will also help in solving the problem of shortage of clays.<\/li><li>Further,KVIC has also started manufacturing of plastic-mixed handmade paper under its project <strong>REPLAN (REducing PLAstic in Nature).<\/strong><\/li><li>It aims to make carry bags by mixing processed and treated plastic waste with cotton fibre rags in the ratio 20:80.The made paper is found to have good strength and durability.It can be used to make paper bags, fine tissues and other paper-based items.<\/li><li>The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is a statutory body formed by the Government of India under the Act of Parliament \u2018Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act of 1956.<\/li><li>It is an apex organization under the Ministry of Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises, with regard to khadi and village industries within India.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Khadi and Village Industries Commission(KVIC) has launched a \u2018Terracotta Grinder\u2019 at Sewapuri in Varanasi.
