These economies represent together over 90% of global GDP.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parameters: <\/strong>It ranks countries based on 50 unique indicators. These indicators are divided across nine categories of protection: <strong>1) <\/strong>Patents <strong>2) <\/strong>copyrights <strong>3) <\/strong>trademarks <strong>4) <\/strong>design rights <strong>5) <\/strong>trade secrets <strong>6) <\/strong>commercialization of IP assets <strong>7) <\/strong>enforcement <strong>8) <\/strong>systemic efficiency and <strong>9) <\/strong>membership and ratification of international treaties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Key Findings Related to India:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>India ranks 40 in the 2021 index among the 53 global economies. In 2020, India ranked 40 as well.<\/li>\n<li>Among BRICS nations, India registered the second-highest growth with an overall improvement of over 13%,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Other Key Findings Globally:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, the global IP environment continued to strengthen.
