From penalties for loss of ID cards, charges for small administrative delays, payment-related fines, and even additional costs for selecting nearby centers in SFG, it feels as though financial considerations are increasingly being prioritized over student convenience. While I understand that institutions require structured policies and financial sustainability, the frequency and nature of these charges create an impression that the system is becoming overly commercialized.
ForumIAS has built its reputation on mentorship, guidance, and a student-centric approach. Many aspirants come from modest backgrounds and already bear significant financial pressure while preparing for competitive examinations. In such a context, repeated penalties and additional charges for minor issues can feel discouraging and stressful.
