Step 1:Understand the exam
→ Read syllabus + last 10 years’ question papers
Step 2:Choose your optional subject early
→ Based on interest, overlap, resources
Step 3:Read NCERTs (Classes 6–12)
→ History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment
Step 4:Move to standard books
→ One book per subject (no multiple sources)
Step 5:Read newspaper daily
→ The Hindu / Indian Express (1–1.5 hrs)
Step 6:Start answer writing early
→ 1–2 answers daily
Step 7:Prepare Prelims + Mains together
→ Concepts + MCQs + revision
Step 8:Revise regularly
→ Revision is the key to success
