Starting Monady, March 28, We are taking up a new initiatives for Prelims 2016 . We will be posting a 7-10 Questions Quiz based on 9 PM Brief, on a daily basis.

The purpose of these is to enable practise on a daily level for you to prepare  Current Affairs for Civil Services Prelims Examination. This questions will be moderate level and it is expected of you solve these questions with decent overview of 9 PM Brief

    Hi.. actually as per Mrunal site it was, Textiles in his slides which was the highest exported item in 2015.

    Please check the ans provided by IAS Forum. Your doubt is cleared by your reply only. Here remittance is import by Gulf region’s point of view. For India’s point of view all incoming remittamces are export and outgoing remittamces are import.

    Please check Remittances comes under the ambit of import not export…….like India has largest share of remittances across the world almost 70 %….and largest section which sends (i.e import) remittances to it is from the gulf region…it was in news recently when the yemen crisis took place and operation Rahat was under way…..

    OK but export means when u send something and u get money in-return. But as far remittances are concerned , u mean we are exporting our domestic workers and getting money in return? I don’t think it.

    As remittances give foreign currencies hence it comes under export item. And if we take remittance as export item then it comes at second highest after non basmati rice export. Gems & jewellery comes at third position.
